MPMC BCH, a Mobile BESS Charger Brand Built for Zero-Emission Jobsites in Europe

Nov 05, 2026

Zero-emission jobsites are becoming a priority in many European cities, with contractors switching excavators, loaders, dumpers and site vans to battery power. Electric machinery delivers its full benefit when the energy behind it is clean and available on site. MPMC's BCH Series mobile BESS chargers are built for this role: they store energy from the grid, solar PV or a low-carbon generator set and deliver fast DC charging to machines and vehicles, while also powering the site's cabins and tools.

The Energy Chain of a Zero-Emission Site

Clean Energy In

BCH units accept energy from several sources. A temporary grid supply connects through CEE or PowerLock sockets, solar arrays connect through a dedicated solar input on the BCH-275-200 and larger models, and every model accepts a CCS2 DC input for fast recharging. Where no grid is available, MPMC's 400 kVA methanol distributed power station, controlled by a DEIF AGC150, combines with BCH units to form an integrated off-grid green power system for electric construction machinery.

Fast Charging Out

The onboard blade LFP battery then delivers DC charging through CCS2 guns: 150 kW on the trailer-mounted BCH-275-200, and 400 kW to 600 kW on the BCH-600-400, BCH-800-600 and BCH-500-1000, each with two 350 A guns. Direct DC-side coupling, optimised for electric construction machinery, delivers up to 87% discharge efficiency.

Site Power Alongside Charging

The same unit supplies AC power for welfare cabins, lighting and tools, from 125 kW on the BCH-275-200 to 500 kW on the BCH-500-1000, so a zero-emission site can run its compound without a diesel generator set for routine loads.

Taken together, these three steps give a contractor a complete, battery-centred energy system for the site: clean energy in, fast charging out and silent compound power, all managed through one EMS with 4G connectivity and remote monitoring.

Built for the Realities of Construction

Construction sites are dusty, exposed and constantly changing. The BCH-275-200 uses a fully sealed liquid-cooled battery pack that keeps dust out, and the larger models use liquid-cooled packs suited to mines and construction sites, with an explosion-proof breather on the BCH-800-600 and BCH-500-1000. C4 anti-corrosion coating is standard, with C5 available on the larger models, and every unit reaches full operation within 24 hours of arrival. The battery is rated for 6,000 cycles at 90% depth of discharge and has been tested for fire, water immersion, collision and crushing.

Proven Off-Grid in Norway

In Norway, a 2 MWh BCH system lets a rental construction fleet operate electric machinery at a location with no grid access. Units of 500 kW and 1,000 kWh deliver CCS2 charging at 360 kW and 400 A, enabling zero-emission machine operation throughout the project.

The project shows how rental companies can offer zero-emission charging as a service to contractors, moving BCH units from one project to the next as sites open and close.

Equipment dealers and rental companies can add BCH units to their electric machinery offer, with OEM customisation and private-label arrangements available. BCH-275-200 and larger models carry a 3-year system warranty and a 5-year battery performance warranty with at least 70% capacity retention.
